By taking a whole-person approach, offering evidence-based peer-to-peer mentoring, both on an individual basis and in group settings, the PTSD Foundation of America brings hope and healing to Combat Veterans and their families suffering from the effects of combat-related Post Traumatic Stress. In addition, their programs and services are free to the Veteran and their family so that the focus remains on their journey to healing.
With a collaborative approach, they raise awareness of the increasing needs of the military community by working with government agencies, service organizations, churches, and private sector businesses to combine resources.
PROVIDING HOPE & HEALING FOR THE UNSEEN WOUNDS OF WAR
The mission of the PTSD Foundation of America:
- To address post-traumatic stress around combat veterans, their families & first responders.
- To give back to those who have given of themselves so selflessly.
- To increase public awareness of post-traumatic stress.
- To reduce the veteran suicide rate to zero.
PTSD is a psychiatric disorder that can occur after experiencing or witnessing life-threatening events such as military combat, natural disasters, terrorist incidents, serious accidents, or physical or sexual assault in adulthood or childhood. While many survivors of trauma heal over time, some require additional support and resources to find lasting recovery.
HOW DOES KATZ COFFEE HELP?
As part of our Cause Coffee program, we donate a percentage of every sale of PTSD/Camp Hope Coffee directly to the PTSD Foundation of America as unrestricted funds to benefit the organization’s mission. With our PTSD/Camp Hope Coffee series, you help support combat veterans.
